Okay, I realize it’s rather pathetic when Lady AppApp has to
(Shazam) a Lady GaGa song, I don’t have much to say for myself other than I’ve really been in more of a Ray Charles phase than a GaGa one lately.
The funny part was that I sort of Shazamed it in my own head when about a week ago a friend tweeted that the new GaGa song sounded like La Isla Bonita. When this song came on with a striking resemblance I just knew it was Lady G and Shazam validated that assumption.
One of the more exciting things that happened during the taping of the Lady App App video was finding out that the developers behind my FAVORITE app game,
(Wurdle) are actually located here in Austin. I’m not kidding here folks, I’ve invested hours in this game and expanded my vocabulary to include some of the most impossible multi-point words in the dictionary. All of Semi Secret Software's most recent press seems to center around Canabalt, which gives me tension and anxiety, but I did learn a lot in the process of reading about the company. Here are some of the things I learned:
Flipping the idea of menstrual apps, which is a timely discussion for me right now, my favorite blog Jezebel profiled the Code Red app which helps men avoid the (and I quote) “hericane” and strike while the iron is hot during the frisky ovulation period. So where as chicks read their app’s calendar as “these are my fertile days, better be sure to pack my Yaz” he’s thinking “score.” Methinks the boys should be getting rubber alerts on those days instead (and I better not find out that some of those calendar days are labeled with the tip “best days to bareback”.)
